Speechification and Watchification - the Interviews

SpeechificationTwo of my favourite sites at the moment are the great Speechification, which is a personal archive of the best of English language speech radio, drawing predominantly from BBC Radio 4, Radio 3 and ABC in Australia, and its equally magnificent TV equivalent, Watchification.

Of the numerous brilliant brains behind these most fantastic of web sites, two of the sweetly craziest are Steve Bowbrick and Russell Davies, two men who, though they can't code for toffee, manage to make the web work for them in beautiful, wonderful and ultimately human ways. I spoke to both of them at Bar Bruno, on Wardour St, right next to the ruins of the Intrepid Fox, and in true Mr and Mrs style I interviewed one and then the other, with each unaware of what the other would say. So, Steve first, followed by the ever modest Russell, who thought it fitting we should do an audio interview rather than a video interview:
