After the success of last year IDE shootout organized by JUG Cologne, another event raises the buzz about the latest innovations in Java IDEs, this time in Italy.
Jointly organized by JUG Genova and JUG Rome, the Java IDE day (http://www.ideday.org) will see the participation of three evangelists from the core teams of JDeveloper (Oracle), NetBeans (Sun Microsystems) and IntelliJ IDEA (JetBrains).
Roman Strobl (Netbeans), Paolo Ramasso (Oracle JDeveloper) and Vaclav Pech (IntelliJ IDEA) will present the most innovative features of their IDEs in three 45 minutes slots mixed with interactive debate times where the the local developers and Computer Engineering students will challenge them with their questions.
They will also discuss the future evolution of Java development tools in a final panel that will be published on the http://www.ideday.org website.
The event will take place Monday 10th of March in Genova and Wednesday 12th of March in Rome.
Participation is free and open to all, but the organizing JUGs kindly ask participants to register on http://www.ideday.org. For more information do not hesitate to contact juggenova@gmail.com
The event is supported by the OpenLab student association, O'Reilly UK and a number of local Java training and consulting companies including Eptamedia, ManyDesigns, NIS, Finsa Consulting and K-Tech.
