O'Reilly are very proud to sponsor the next Minibar. The event will take place at Truman Brewery, Corbet Place in London's Brick Lane, on Friday, 25th May, 2007.
Here at O'Reilly, we're very excited about this partnership. From the start, O'ReillyGMT was set-up in part to champion grass roots developers and tech entrepreneurs. We want to give a leg up to the programmer with a sparkling idea who is hacking away in their spare room working like crazy with the dream that the project they are devoting every spare second to might find a place in other people's lives. Minibar is a wonderful opportunity for them to bring their project out into the open, to take it for a spin in front of a crowd of interested strangers and really see where they are up to, to get a feel for what works and what doesn't. There's always that hope that someone there will be the right person to help take their application to the next level, but even if that doesn't happen, the benefits are huge. It allows the developer to hone their pitch for future presentations - the next time they show off their work, it might be to a venture capitalist they need to impress, and a bit of practice can pay dividends.
