Open Rights Group - Interview with Glyn Wintle Part 1

Gmt_podcast_logo_4Org_logo The Open Rights Group are a UK-based advocacy group campaigning on our behalf on issues of digital rights. Their aim is:

  • To raise awareness in the media of digital rights abuses
  • To provide a media clearinghouse, connecting journalists with experts and activists
  • To preserve and extend traditional civil liberties in the digital world
  • To collaborate with other digital rights and related organisations
  • To nurture a community of campaigning volunteers, from grassroots activists to technical and legal experts

We asked volunteer Glyn Wintle to the O'Reilly offices to explain more. Here's the first part of our interview, where Glyn talked about the Open Rights Group's background and how they work, and went on to talk about the worrying trait of children being fingerprinted in UK schools. The second part will follow on the 30th March and the final part on the 3rd April:
